about

Won’t Forget You sets the scene to the marching waltz of an electronic beat, rising into an explosive orchestral chorus which asks of politicians ‘What are you good for?’ It is a brutally honest account of being young (ish) and left wing in the Labour party.

lyrics

I won't ever forget you
No matter how hard I try
Every time I try to switch off
You pop up as clear as mud
No I won't ever forget you
Cos you wont let me try

Whenever I'm feeling hopeful
You come to drag me back
Poisoning anyone's ability to think
Making sure the fruit is as rotten
As your outlook on the world

No I won't ever forget you
Cos you wont let me try

What are you good for?
What are you good for?
What are you good for?
Perpetuate the power structure
Give us a bite
Hope we don't ask for too much
Keep us in line

I can't forget a time
When I thought these things could change
Now I'm angrier than I've ever been
I'll make sure they see the fruit is rotten
Before they swallow it whole

No I won't ever forget you
But you'll wish I'd try

What are you here for?
What are you here for?
What are you here for?
The profession of your father?
This game costs us our lives
Hope we don't ask for too much
Keep up in line
